- To start off, This is not really trance XD
- Not to offend.
Trance is more of an emotional type of music, which has the ability to change somebody's overall attitude, and so forth.

Trance consists of a few basic, but crucial things.

Number one: Trancegate - Trancegate is a MUST in any trance song; which is where trance probably got the name from.

Number two: Kicks

Number Three: A Nice lead of your choice - A lead can spice up any song, turning it into a nice piece of composition.

I don't know if this is the track you wanted me to rate when you responded to my buildup song - but I'ma do so anyway.

First off,
The overall theme is supposed to be "nightmare" am i right?
IF you're going for the scary approach, then I think it's pretty amazing as it is right now.

If you wanted to head for techno, or evil - genre of techno, then you'd have to make some changes.

Anyway, good song overall - 5 x 9 from me! :)

Kick

Since this is after all a WIP, I must say from past rave experiences, that Hardstyle is a bass based genre with melody, buildup, phase, buildup, and other sorts of common trance / techno characters.

Overall, your melody is fine, but your kick overall is just not powerful enough.
If you're going for the hardstyle approach, I strongly advice that you up the kick, and the bass / distortion ( which ever you have following the kick,).

A little tip for your melody: When your melody kicks in with the lead: about 1:02 / 1:30, the melody remained untouched, Pitch-wise. You should take copy some of the notes, and add on a higher note on the final melody that mixes with your kick, to create a bit of a "buildup" approach, which hardstyle is all about.

Other than those few things, it's an excellent song overall, great potential.

I understand that the kick is a bit low, and I can fix that, same goes with the bass.
But overall I think I should have said hard dance instead of hardstyle because what i seem to make isn't really hardstyle but some type of hard genre. I guess I'm leaning towards the dance category.. But yeah, thanks heaps for the advice.

It's a beautiful piece of music overall, and gets a person thinking. Make it Longer!

The village in question here is similar to the one outlined in Ryanide's Two Heroes, but is imagined as a small desert stopping place. As you walked through the entrance, the guitar would kick in, and after the melodic portion given here, another 2 minutes would be fairly ambient until it looped. The song is designed to give the town an ancient feel, and yet also a feeling of safety.

Ughh

- Great overall sound. However, I'm sick and fed up with hearing all these FL studio default sounds!
Those can reaaaally kill a song's overall enjoyability.

Oh, by the way, I'm using the demo version of FL ssssh, don't tell anyone though. Uh, if you're also referring to the doorslam sounds near the end, it was an inside joke with one of my friends from my first song :P
But yeah anyways, thanks for bothering to review.
